The North Alabama African Heritage Association will be hosting the 22nd Annual African Heritage Festival at the Willie Green Recreation Center in Tuscumbia. This festival will give you the opportunity to learn more about African cultures and heritage through live music, delicious food, and a parade featuring African fashions.
The festivities kick off on Friday at 4 pm, and Saturday’s festivities begin at 10 am.
The live music will feature various styles including gospel, reggae, R&B, and blues performed by the bands: Blues Man King Tut, Culture Dread, Exodus, and the Midnighters. There will also be unique food vendors offering African and jerk cuisine. The parade will showcase diverse native African fashions from different regions. There will also be other activities throughout the day that you won’t want to miss!
